What to know about 12x12
File resolution
2880 × 2880 source pixels gives 240 DPI before cropping or file preparation. Prepared files are capped at 6,000 pixels on the longer edge; zoom reduces detail. Check the builder's quality estimate for your design.
Mat or no mat
A snow-white mat sits inside the 12 × 12 in glazing area. Its approximate 2 in border reduces the picture area; the outside moulding is larger than the listed size.
Shape
1:1 square. You can pan, zoom and crop your picture to fit in the builder before ordering.

12x12 framing questions
How much does a 12x12 picture frame cost?
A 12 × 12 in framed print costs between $34.00 and $52.00 depending on the moulding and whether you add a mat. Printing, shatter-resistant acrylic and hanging hardware are included; shipping is calculated at checkout based on your country and order.
What size photo fits a 12x12 frame?
Without a mat the printed image fills the 12 × 12 in glazing area. With a mat, the glazing stays 12 × 12 in and the estimated picture area is 8 × 8 in. The cut opening slightly overlaps the print. The outside moulding extends beyond the glazing size.
What resolution do I need for a 12x12 print?
For an uncropped image without a mat, 2880 × 2880 source pixels provides 240 DPI and 3600 × 3600 provides 300 DPI before file preparation. Prepared files are capped at 6,000 pixels on the longer edge, so large prints may be lower resolution. Cropping and zoom also reduce effective detail. The builder checks the current design and warns you before ordering.
