Frame size guide
What Size Frame Do I Need for a 16×24 Photo?
A 16×24 photo has a wide 2:3 proportion and fits a 16×24 frame when you want the full image visible. A mat can move the piece into a larger outside frame without changing its crop.

01
Protect the wide crop
Check the image ratio before printing. A phone photo or camera file may need a crop to fit 16×24, and the frame cannot restore information that was removed at print time.
For landscapes and group photographs, keep important subjects away from the outer crop. Use the live preview to inspect both the image opening and the finished frame.
02
Plan the wall from the outside size
The 16×24 paper is not the full footprint. Add the moulding and any mat when you measure above a sofa, bed or sideboard.
A natural oak frame warms a landscape, while a black box profile makes a wide photograph feel more architectural. Repeat the same profile when using several panoramic pieces.

What aspect ratio is a 16×24 photo?
16×24 is a 2:3 ratio, the same proportion as many camera photographs. Check your file before printing so the crop does not remove important details.
Can a 16×24 photo have a mat?
Yes. Use a larger outside frame and a mat with an opening sized for the 16×24 paper.
